프리즌 브레이크 시즌3 정보

FOX has officially announced today that Prison Break would be back for a third season. But many sources say that the show will get a major overhaul, including a possible change in the show's title.

The FOX's press release announcing the renewal gives nothing about what Season 3 may hold. But series creator Paul T. Scheuring has been giving many hints, including at least one that may have fans shake on their seat hoping that the creator changes his mind.

No matter what, Prison Break was never intended to be a long-running series. At first, people behind the show though it could last three seasons being laid out as follows: Season 1 = in prison, Season 2 = on the run, Season 3 = back in prison; but that the best plan was surely only two season. However good ratings have made FOX order a third season. With how they mapped the second season, which includes wrapping up most (if not all) of the storylines, Prison Break needs to reinvent itself and here is how they plan to do it.

(Warning! Spoilers about season 3 coming up!)
Variety
reports that Season 3 will see the addition of at least four new cast members. These new faces will be two men and two women, none of which American. This could mean that Michael will be stuck in Panama for a while? Speaking of him, The Hollywood Reporter adds that one of the brothers (Michael or Lincoln) may leave the show during the Fall. It is unknown if they plan to kill one of them or have that person vanish in thin air. No matter, the brothers have been the core of the show since the pilot. Could the series survive without one of them? Considering that Sara will be back, does it mean that Lincoln would more than likely be the one heading out? Because how can Sara be in the show with Lincoln? They don't get along that much.

TV Guide's interview with Paul T. Scheuring reveals that Sara will be missing for a few of the early episodes since the actress will be on maternity leave. However, Sara will not be pregnant on the show. The show will still be produced in Dallas but scenes will also be shot in Florida and Louisiana. Scheuring adds that more than half of the current cast will be back.

BuddyTV reports that a love interest for one of the current cast will be introduced next season. The article lists comments from Scheuring saying that "The only thing I will say at this stage is that it will be a much more stripped-down, brutal, violent version of the show than we've seen in the past."

Many rumors say that the show will come back with a new name since the "prison break" has occurred in Season 1. However, some reports say that Lincoln may be the one trying to break Michael out of a bad situation (maybe he'll be behind bars in Panama?) so could the title still work? Can the show survive a title change as it may have people think that Prison Break was cancelled or have writers forget what Prison Break was all about and change the format to go along with the new title?

No matter, I will still watch the show even if it has a new title as long as it doesn't forget about the show's central theme: the bond and story of two brothers.

The ongoing plot in Prison Break will be resolved before the second season is out, show creator Paul Scheuring has revealed.

Speaking to Broadcast this week, Scheuring said that it was important that the original story, which centres around Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) being framed for a governmental murder, was not "protracted" longer than necessary.

He added that US broadcast network Fox could still ask for a third season, however, if ratings remain high. The show currently averages between 8 and 9 million viewers in its Monday 8pm timeslot, with particularly strong scores in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

"We have to conceptualise season three now," said Scheuring, but explained that he may not be involved beyond season two.

The writer's exclusive deal with Prison Break producer Twentieth Century Fox expires next April, after which he plans to start writing independent movies. "If I were to say the show's over [after season two], Fox would say... we'll have someone else run the show. That could happen."

The answer to the question that has been on every prison break fan’s lips is right here. Yes there will be a season 3. Season 3 of Prison Break (which may have a different name announced soon) will be premiered on 29th August 2007, almost 5 months after the season 2 finale. Most of the conspiracy storyline (about 90%) will be wrapped up by the end of season 2, and the third season will have a completely new plot. Scheuring quotes “The audience will definitely get closure. It'll feel like this is the endgame of the story, and yet there will be a few unanswered questions."

The third season will have eight major roles, including new additions to the cast. Most of the surviving crew will be brought together somehow, and there will be one or two new faces. When asked about the fate of Mahone played by William Fichtner, fans were told that Scheuring was very happy with William, hinting that Mahone will make a comeback in season 3.

One of the new additions is a female character who is Michael’s equivalent in intelligence, and she will act as a love interest for one of the guys. Who will it be? Your guess is as good as mine. Scheuring also let slip “And she would seem to be coming down on the side of good initially, but there will be questions [about] whether that's a facade.”

Ausiello quotes: “Paul Scheuring also teased that Season 3 would feature "a different storytelling process" that will begin to "play out in the last couple episodes of Season 2" and "leave some cliff-hangers, including one with Sara."

Sara Tancredi fans may have been worried that she may be killed off because the actress playing her, Sarah Wayne Callies, is pregnant, but Ausiello assures us that she’s safe. He says that Paul Scheuring won’t kill her off because he believes that Sara Tancredi is a strong component in the show. Sarah is due in the late summer, which coincides with the premiere of season 3, and she will be gone for a while, but will be back soon after the birth of her child. Scheuring says that her disappearance will fit into the plot, but refuses to confirm rumours of Sara Tancredi being kidnapped. Season three will provide some of our favourite characters with redeeming moments. Michael Scofield's tattoo still has one more important role to play before the second season ends. Not everyone at the Paley Festival Event will survive to see season three. The show will continue to shoot in Dallas for season three, with secondary units covering Florida and Lousiana. The cast present at the Paley Festival were Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows), Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi), Robert Knepper (T-Bag), Wade Williams (Captain Brad Bellick), Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note) and Amaury Nolasco (Sucre).
