AOL Winamp Lyrics3 Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in AOL Winamp, which could be exploited by attackers to take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is due to a buffer overflow error in the Ultravox protocol handler when processing the "ultravox-max-msg" header, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a specially crafted playlist or a malicious "shout:" or "uvox:" URI.
The second flaw is due to a buffer overflow error when handling malformed Lyrics3 tags, which could be exploited by malicious web sites to execute arbitrary commands via a specially crafted playlist or a malicious "shout:" or "uvox:" URI.
